CBI Project Support

Community Business Intelligence (CBI) Project Support This update (4.0.19) introduces functionality to support CBI data collection and submissions. This initiative was established by the Toronto Central LHIN (TC LHIN) in Ontario, to enhance data collection and reporting capabilities across the TC LHIN’s Community Sector. It will later be aligned with other initiatives in the Greater Toronto Area. Roxy Software has been involved with the CBI project since its kick-off in 2013, and we’re pleased to announce that Pirouette software has completed all of the required validation testing. We’ve been working closely with early adopters of the CBI tool, and we look forward to supporting the rollout to organizations throughout the TC LHIN. This revision also addresses compatibility issues with Microsoft’s most recent browser release, Internet Explorer...

OCAN: IAR Consent Enhancements

IAR Consent Enhancements This update (4.0.16) introduces two new features to help you manage IAR consent accurately and effectively. The IAR consent default, available in global preferences, allows you to select the default consent level to be used in the absence of other data. The IAR Consent Assessment, accessed within the client record, allows you to document and track when the client wants the same consent status applied to all future assessments. Organizations all across Ontario have chosen Pirouette as their OCAN software tool, and many of them are now submitting assessments to IAR on a regular basis. We’re excited about the work that’s been done so far, and we’re pleased to be helping organizations meet their OCAN and IAR “go live” milestones successfully. Roxy Software is fully accredited by CCIM, and has met all requirements in the OCAN 2.0 test cycle. To view our test results, go to https://www.ccim.on.ca/IAR/Private/Pages/Technology.aspx and click on the “Vendor Assessment Testing Summary”...

2011 Updates

November 2011 – OCAN 2.0.7 and IAR Release 3 This update (4.0.15) introduces new consent functionality for the OCAN based on the latest Grant/Deny consent requirements from CCIM. The client consent options are contained directly within the OCAN record, which means: there’s no need to go elsewhere in the client file to select or view the client’s consent status, there’s no need for all of the client’s OCAN records to have the same consent status, you can update the consent status in an OCAN record at any time, without impacting the consent level in other OCANs that have been entered for the client. Pirouette is fully compliant with OCAN 2.0.7 and IAR Release 3 specifications, so you can be confident that assessment data is being collected and submitted to IAR correctly. February 2011 – Text Formatting and CCIM Accreditation This update (4.0.14) introduces text formatting, so you can format the text entered in notes and comment fields. Go to “format” on the button bar and select from the list of options provided. Use features such as headings, underlining, italics, and more to highlight important details and make your text easier to read. We’ve also added a number of new features related to the OCAN record. The record now contains pre-population functionality, so when you enter a new OCAN, you have the option to copy data from a previous record. You’ll also find: New OCAN reports Notification of the 6 month reassessment Additional validation to improve data quality We’re excited to announce that we have successfully completely CCIM’s IAR accreditation process, so we’re fully equipped to support organizations participating in...

2010 Updates

July 2010 – OCAN 2.0 This update (4.0.12) introduces version 2.0 of the OCAN assessment tool. OCAN 2.0 is being rolled out across Ontario through a LHIN-based implementation, beginning in the summer of 2010. As part of the OCAN implementation, Pirouette also contains functionality for automated data submissions to the Ontario Ministry of Health’s Integrated Assessment Record (IAR). Several time-saving features have been added to Pirouette’s OCAN record that go beyond the required functionality, such as the ability to select a default mental health service. We’ve also incorporated extensive validation throughout the record, making it more user-friendly and reducing the likelihood of data entry errors. For details on how to complete the OCAN record in Pirouette, see the related manual here. February 2010 – More Report Tools and Integrated Assessment Record Support This update (4.0.11) introduces several new features in this update to help you get the most out of Pirouette’s custom report tools. In addition to the new “Preview Options” section that’s been added to the query file, we’ve provided system queries to help make your query writing easier. We’ve also added export and import functions to the software, so you can exchange queries with other Pirouette users. To learn more about these tools and all the new features, see the related manual here. This update also includes functionality that supports the Ontario Ministry of Health’s Integrated Assessment Record (IAR). The IAR helps healthcare providers in community-based organizations (currently focused on mental health) and hospitals share patient information through a secure online viewer. Where client consent has been given, participating organizations can upload completed Pirouette OCAN assessments to...

2009 Updates

October 2009 – New Custom Report Tools This update (4.0.10) introduces custom report tools that allow you to create your own queries and reports in Pirouette. Build a query and save it, or publish it as a report for other users to access. You can also combine the results from several queries into a single report. To learn more about using these tools, see the related manual here. June 2009 – External Links and OCAN This update (4.0.9) introduces external links and the latest OCAN (Ontario Common Assessment of Need) tools. The OCAN is still in it’s pilot phase, so please contact us if you are interested in using these tools. We’ve also made it easier for you to identify a client’s emergency contacts. Emergency contacts are now clearly marked on both the basic and detailed client information summary report. In addition, we’ve updated the contacts section of the client record summary page so that emergency contacts are always listed first, regardless of how many contacts the client may...
