Permissions to Reset a Forgotten Password

Important:  at a minimum, the Pirouette Administrator and at least one backup staff should have the required permissions to reset a forgotten password.

To give a user permissions to reset a forgotten password:

1.  Go to the Menu at the top of the page, go to the System section, select Users, and select Active Users.  This will bring you to the central list of active user accounts.

2.  Open the desired user account and use the Next button to go to the Permissions section.

3.  Select the Create and modify user accounts permission AND the Reset passwords permission.   Both permissions must be selected.

4.  Save and close the record.

The user now has the ability to go into any user account and reset a forgotten password, without entering the old password first.
