Group Notes

Use a group note to record details about a group session; you can also record details about your client contact and your time spent.  Once a group note is saved, it is locked and cannot be edited; changes can only be made through the addition of an addendum.  Therefore, review your group note carefully before saving it.

To enter a group note:

1.  Go to the Menu at the top of the page, go to the Clients and Contacts section, and select Group Sessions to access the central list of group notes.  Select the Create icon located in the upper right corner of the list.  Or, go to Actions at the top of the page, go to the New section and select Note, and specify “Group” at the New Note Helper page.

2.  Enter the appropriate information.  You must select a related program or else you won’t be able to save the record.  If you need to backdate your note, use the date field to do so.

3.  To record details about your client contact and time spent, use the Next button at the top of the page to go to the Contacts page and the Time Spent page (these pages are covered separately in detail.)  Once you have entered your contact and time spent details, you’ll be prompted to take attendance to identify the clients who were present.

Tip:  to make changes to Contacts or Time Spent after the group note has been saved and closed, open the note and select Edit Related Contacts and Time Spent on the main note page.
